The Topical Group on Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPRTG) was proposed by the IAEA Secretariat at the 2nd ANSN-SC in Seoul from 18-20 May 2005, and established at the 3rd SC in Vienna from 1-2 December 2005. The objectives of the EPR Topical Group are:
1. To identify and share best practices for national EPR strategies
2. To identify EPR needs and strategic EPR program
3. To serve as a forum for information exchange
4. To plan and to provide EPR training courses
5. To assist to learn the EPR through national and international level exercises.
